Randy Luethye

After serving in the Air Force Intelligence Service as an analyst and briefer for Fifth Air Force in Tokyo, Japan, Randy's desire to continue writing saw him return to college where he received a bachelor's degree from Portland State University in 1991.

Randy's career path would take him back to Roswell, New Mexico where he worked for a radio station as a copywriter, sales representative and remote broadcaster. At the Eastern New Mexico State Fair Randy interviewed a stuntman who eventually referred him for construction/set dressing work on the Sam Shepard film, "Silent Tongue."

Once the five-month project was completed, Randy moved to Phoenix where he went to work for his Air Force buddy, Scott "The Human Calculator" Flansburg. As his public relations representative, Randy reviewed and edited the best-seller, Math Magic; coordinated a 27 interview, five-city Australian media tour, and represented more than 30 authors and businesses over a five year period.

In 1999, Randy sought more creative outlets with the development of the Light Rail Business Directory: A Rider's Guide to Live, Work & Play by Train for the newly constructed Portland light rail system.

That same year, he produced his first television program, "Corporate Serfdom", for Portland Public Access Television. The documentary also aired on Hollywood's Public Access and revealed a growing disparity between the cost of living and income increases since 1970.

More recently, Randy self-published his non-fiction novel, The Cold War, KAL-007 & Communism: Intelligence Secrets Revealed, which documents his involvement in the KAL-007 search and rescue operations. He also completed his second film project, The Bag which was screened at the "MiniDV Film Festival" in Hollywood in December, 2004 and is now airing on IFC.COM's "Media Lab."
